This post is a bit late in coming, but here's some pics of our recent library book distribution to 2 rural schools north of Siem Reap on the 24th of September. The first school was accessible by car (though the road was very rough and slow going). The second village was in the middle of Monk's Forest and could only be accessed via tractor, about a 45 minute ride. Twice we got stuck and had to get out (mud to ankles, at least), and push....never a dull moment! Both schools built and supported by RSVP (Rural Schools Village Program). The second village was perhaps the poorest I have seen in my time in Cambodia. The teacher was very young, and very excited to receive these books.... ...

Our team in Phnom Penh led by BT Lucky has another candidate for surgery in the pipeline from Seim Reap today. We provide literature in Khmer offering advice about the Project then follow up with families showing before and after photographs. There can be an awful lot of superstition before we can get these young people to Phnom Penh for free surgery. Donations are greatly appreciated at rawcs.org.au Project No 40 of 2016 2017.
